Lunch & Learn: Open Education Resources (OER), Oct 29th

Do you wish your students had more consistently reliable access to their textbooks at the beginning of the term? Are resources for your discipline cost prohibitive? Are you looking for alternatives to traditional publishing/copyright models? Are you interested in accessing free textbooks, lectures and/or learning modules for the classes you teach?

If you answered “yes” to any of the above questions, then you might want to join us Tuesday, October 29th from 11:30am-1pm in the Gourmet Dining Room (T1400) to learn more about Open Education Resources (OER) at the CTL’s next Lunch & Learn!

MCTC Reading Faculty Johnine Ornelas will help facilitate a discussion around the what and why of OER and will provide a brief list of resources to get you started on learning more about the who, how, where and when! Bring your knowledge, your curiosity, and your questions. A reasonably priced lunch prepared for by MCTC culinary students will be available for purchase from 11:30-12:15.
