NCAT (National Center for Academic Transformation) Webinar Series
Following three highly successful webinars in spring 2013, NCAT has now scheduled four new webinars for fall 2013. Each webinar will feature an NCAT Redesign Scholar, an experienced course redesign project leader, who will describe the redesign project with a particular focus on its distinguishing characteristics. The webinars scheduled for fall 2013 are:
- September 10, 2013 at 1 pm Eastern time: Redesign of the developmental math sequence using modularization and mastery learning at Northwest-Shoals Community College (AL), presented by Crystal Ingle. Click here to register.
- October 8, 2013 at 1 pm Eastern time: Redesign of American History and European History at the State University of New York at Potsdam presented by Jim German, featuring the effective use of undergraduate learning assistants. Click here to register.
- November 19, 2013 at 1 pm Eastern time: Redesign of Principles of Chemistry at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore presented by Jennifer Hearne, emphasizing active engagement in learning chemistry. Click here to register.
- December 10, 2013 at 1 pm Eastern time: Redesign of Statistics at Niagara County Community College by Dan Miller. This redesign was subsequently adopted in developmental math. Click here to register.
