Join us for a conversation about coaching for college and career readiness. Students of privilege struggle in college to acquire real-world skills to eventually secure gainful employment. Students from the first generation to attend college struggle with the added layer of “hidden” cultural and societal messages that can discourage success.

All students along this spectrum struggle with learning how to develop the self-awareness, self-reliance, and practical skills they need in class and in the workplace.

This session will share hands-on ideas of how educators can coach students to master specific, practical connections for excelling in reading, writing, math and professional skills. Armed with these tools, any educator can become a students’ best coach -holding each to high standards, providing content linked to valuable know-how, and setting structures for accountability, challenge, and growth that can ensure success in college, career, and life.
